Let me start with a great, new way to connect and learn about monkeys - especially the long-tailed macaques of North Jakarta. Very soon, I will set up an online page for the North Jakarta Mangrove Monkeys Club. It will be a free, informal club, open to everyone, whether you live in Jakarta or not!
The purpose of starting the club is simply to increase awareness about long-tailed macaques and small primates that live in urban environments, like Jakarta.
The club will have links to educational resources, instructions for safe and respectful wildlife viewing, some meet-up opportunities, guest posts from primatology or ecology experts, and much more awesome stuff.
Watch for more posts and details about the NJMM Club very soon, here and via social media. The Club will go LIVE around mid-May (2023).
